Fiberglass pools come in different sizes and shapes, so you need to take many factors into consideration during fiberglass pool installation. If you don't have the skills to install the pool with all variables considered, you can contact fiberglass pool installation experts. Here is the process you will generally go through to install a fiberglass pool.

Choose Your Preferred Location

You need to carefully pick the area where you want to install the swimming pool to make sure that it is level. Don't choose uneven ground since it will lead to uneven finish. You'll also need to take measurements of the area. You can use tape or a string to take the measurements.

Start Excavation

Next, you need to excavate where you will need to install the swimming pool. Ensure that you add six more inches to the area, and fill this gap using a sand base, which helps handle the swimming pool's weight. Take the measurements again just to confirm that the installation area is not too small or big. If you find that the dimensions aren't the same as those of step one, then fill or dig where necessary.

Install the Pool

In case the company that supplied the swimming pool doesn't offer fitting services, you will have to do manual installations. Make sure that you observe all the necessary safety precautions when doing the installation. You can use a lifting equipment or a back hoe to assist you in fitting the pool into the area where you are supposed to install it. Don't forget to use a spirit level to ensure that the pool is level. It is important to take several readings from several areas of the pool just to make sure of evenness in all areas.

Install the Swimming Pool Pump

Once you have installed the pool, you need to prepare a place where you can install a swimming pool pump. Thus, you will need to dig a hole at one end of the pool, and make sure that the hole is big enough to fit the pump. The pump will come with installation instructions. Make sure that you follow them carefully to ensure it will function well. Connect a pipe to the pump's end for drainage purposes. Once you have installed the pump, make sure that you mark the area with shingles and gravel. Also, pour some gravel around the drainage area.

Fill the Pool with Water

Once you have completed your installation, fill the pool with water, and then add the necessary chemicals and water agents depending on your calculation chart. You should allow the pool to settle for at least 24 hours before you start using it. Confirm that the drainage works before you start using the pool.
