If you are tired of your landscaping and making changes, there are many things you can do. One thing you should consider is using landscape rock. There are many ways you can use this, three of which are listed below.

Use as Mulch

If you have small landscape rocks, you can use them as mulch in your flower gardens and other areas. Mulch is beneficial as it keeps weeds from growing in your flower garden. There are many benefits of choosing landscape rocks over traditional mulch. First, landscape rocks are durable and will last a long time. This means you will not have to replace them every year as you do with mulch. This not only saves you a lot of time but money as well. Use light-colored landscaping rocks so they contrast with the green foliage of your flowers and plants.

Also, put medium-sized landscaping rocks around a tree or shrubs. This will also prevent weed growth from around these things and makes the trees and shrubs really stand out in your landscaping.

Use Close to Street

If you live in a neighborhood, consider landscaping close to the street. This will add curb appeal to your home. Purchase landscaping rocks in a variety of sizes, shapes, and colors.

You could plant some ornamental grasses and other plants, as well as colorful flowers. Use mulch in the area and place the landscaping rocks over the mulch. Using both mulch and landscape rocks really makes the area stand out to people that walk or drive by your home. River landscaping rocks work well for this purpose.

Use as a Flower Garden Edging

If you have a flower garden in your yard putting an edging around it is important. This not only makes the flower garden look much better but also prevents grass and weeds from getting into the garden. There are a variety of edging options you can use. One thing that works well is using landscape rocks.

Purchase small and medium-sized rocks for this purpose. Dig a trench first and put landscaping fabric in the trench. Next, layer landscaping rocks inside the trench. The landscaping fabric is important as this will prevent the rocks from sinking into the soil. As with mulch, you will not have to worry about replacing the rocks each year.
